The opening season of our Hotel in Riva del Garda is generally from March to the end of October. In this particular 2020 we had to bring forward the closure by a few weeks, due to the rise in Covid infections that made us responsibly take a step back.
October is a wonderful month for our Garda Trentino area, which in autumn turns green, yellow, red and brown. The lake water becomes even clearer in autumn. Sunny days give a very bright light. Bad weather days are also very beautiful. When it’s cloudy, the mountains darken and that shadow makes them look bigger. If there is wind, the many colored leaves that have fallen from the trees flutter. Even the rain has its own magical touch: the center of Riva, with its alleys and historic buildings, seems to sparkle with the rain. The October that is ending was very lucky, from the weather point of view. We were able to enjoy magnificent days. Alas “from the window”, because having had to bring forward the closing of a few weeks, it was not possible for us to be a reference for those who, perhaps, sought us.
Our hotel has always been open only in the summer season (with some exceptions for New Year’s Eve) and therefore our guests are often affected by the weather when they want to come to us. We realize this. Yes, our hotel in Riva del Garda with swimming pool, garden and bar with outdoor veranda brings out its main features during the summer season.
But we like to think that those who choose us are curious to know the Garda Trentino area, which offers opportunities in every season. So even when “it’s not hot”.
We have an outdoor swimming pool. The swimming pool is set in a large garden on the inner side of the hotel, a sheltered and above all quiet area. The garden with plants and flowers is the place where many of our guests choose to spend most of their time. With a deckchair moved under a tree, or right in full sun to regenerate with a bit of grape rays.
Then there is the other garden, the one on the front side of the hotel. The veranda and the large lawn that give vent to the internal bar are a corner of fresh and fragrant nature, where tea and pastries from Caffè Brione, or Gin Tonic and artisanal falafel from However La Roulotte, make you want to sit in peace and enjoy the passage on the main avenue.
But if the climate does not allow us to enjoy this, we also have more.
Most of our rooms are quiet and with a nice view of the garden, especially the newer Green and Balance. Our restaurant has a dining and kitchen staff who have been with us for many years, prepared and always available. We offer traditional menus but also vegetarian or vegan proposals. The desserts are all homemade by our Albumi artisan workshops.
If from the Bar it is not possible to go out onto the veranda due to cold or rain, we are sure that the warm and comfortable armchairs of the interior can give the right comfort. Caffè Brione was completely renovated in 2019.
Then there is “US”. Our family has been in the hotel for over 70 years and we now have a friendly relationship with many guests. We are lucky. We hope to be a trusted point of reference for many, perhaps just for advice on what to do when it is not hot to be in the pool, or when you are curious to spend a different day.
