The summer season of our Brione Green Resort in Riva del Garda will end on Sunday 11 October. A little sooner than we would have hoped for. But if we go back to March-April even in the most optimistic dreams we would have expected to be able to work so many months. So, we are already happy like this. We met many new people, met guests who had become friends. We got excited for a few days even sold out. And we managed to employ our staff.
The next 3 weeks, therefore, will be our last opening weeks for this year. Our season will end on Sunday 11th October. The international health situation is not yet good, on the contrary, and in addition (fortunately!) The schools have restarted with all the associated risks and fears. Here in Garda Trentino there will hardly be a great turnout in the autumn and winter months, with the planned events that will be few, and still uncertain. We obviously reserve the right to extend the opening if something changes in the next 2 weeks. Otherwise we will give breath to our staff, who worked a few weeks less but did it at a truly relentless pace. We will focus on planning some renovations.
As every year it is our will to do, once the hotel shutter is closed we will sit calmly at a table to decide where to intervene. Evaluating the resources available (this year will not be many) and priorities.
The rooms, for those who do our job, are undoubtedly the most in need of attention every year. From ordinary maintenance (paintings, carpets, installations) to actual renovation, and in our case to some older bathrooms and furnishings.
We hope to be able to refresh and modernize the restaurant. Both here in the furnishings but also in the menu proposal.
Some improvements remain on the list of priorities, but we do not know if we can guarantee them: the restyling of the bar in 2019 would still have 2-3 little things missing, some appliances in the laundry should be replaced. We would like to make the parking more tidy but also safe.
