Saying Green Resort sometimes makes us appear like those who have chosen a fashionable name without fully having the right to it.
- We are in an urban area, cars pass in front of us, there is often traffic, in the evening there are hundreds of lights on.
- We are certainly careful about the choices we make, but none of our production processes or machinery we use is totally ecological.
It sends the wrong message that we are called Green Resort just because we have a garden.
In reality we try every day to apply our “green” philosophy to the decisions we make.
For example, we have planned some major works this winter.
New rooms that will arise from three floors of part of our structure that have been almost completely gutted.
Proudly, in emptying the premises WE THROWN AWAY VERY LITTLE STUFF.
Thanks to a bit of goodwill but above all to the opportunity that many Whatsapp or Telegram chats offer today, we managed to give away the furnishings instead of sending them to the landfill. The bathroom mirrors. Bed bases, mattresses, doors, many recyclable iron scraps.
Rooms that were 40 or more years old have had a new life.
At the house of the lady who needed a table, in the craftsman’s stube who needed two wardrobes. For the daughter who is furnishing the university apartment or the parish that manages the summer camp.
We have also lent a hand to those who rent tourist apartments at home and have thus avoided spending a fortune on furnishing rooms perhaps obtained from an attic or the floor where their grandmother lived.
Let’s hope we haven’t played into the hands of illegal tenants… ?
It was a great satisfaction. Moreover, sometimes even unexpectedly rewarded by a nice story told while we dedicated ourselves to dismantling the chest of drawers together with the new owner or by the chocolates that some big generous heart brought us in exchange for the favor.
We felt very GREEN.
Also because in addition to the recirculation from decluttering, the always precious spaces in the garage also benefit.
