#4 WE ARE FOUR

We remember fondly those chats here at the bar, when a friend who has been coming to Brione for over 40 years told us why she chose us the very first time.

Her first holidays with us coincided with the arrival of her children — three of them, born just a few years apart. Back then, Brione was seen as a convenient and safe choice, especially because of its proximity to the Pini Beach, the closest access point to Lake Garda for us.
“With children, this location immediately felt ideal. Being able to cross the road right outside the hotel to reach the lake is a real advantage — especially for those who want to feel sure their kids are safe. Once you’ve crossed the pedestrian crossing, there are no cars at all along the 100 meters leading to the beach.”

“And on top of that, you also have the pool — perfect for those hours when the wind picks up at the lake and it becomes harder for children to swim.”

Our location has remained our most precious asset.
It’s the feature with the highest rating across all platforms.
Most likely — although we lack a real counterpoint to prove it — the proximity to the cycling path network (which didn’t even exist back in the 1980s) is now another point in our favor.

Over the years, we have evolved in terms of service, without radically changing our “shape.”
The hotel still has its pool, and we’ve expanded the surrounding green space. The restaurant remains a traditional point of reference for families. While it’s true that today many families look for apartment-style accommodation, they are still a very important part of our guests.
Our accessible ground floor, with only a few steps and a sheltered garden exit, is another reason why many guests choose us over neighboring hotels.

Many also appreciate the Playroom we created in place of the old TV room, now outdated.
A play area that we were previously lacking — designed mainly for younger children, with hands-on activities and, above all, lots of books.

The biggest difference compared to 5 or more years ago, however, is the rooms.
In the past, triple and quadruple rooms were often adapted from double rooms, with one or two sofa beds. Practical for those who only used the room as a base, spending most of the day out — but definitely limited in space.
Today, we welcome families in our Olivia Convivio rooms.
Nine rooms with three or four beds, spacious enough to accommodate an additional crib, all designed to offer privacy and freedom of movement for everyone — regardless of age.
In one word: BIG.

In this sense, we have become a “Brione 2.0” compared to when our friends first chose us.
Was it the right choice? Have we become “better”?

That’s for others to say.
Our ambition is to stay rooted in tradition while keeping in touch with today’s world of social media and imagery.
Tradition, for us, means being a family-friendly hotel, with a sheltered garden that is now even more ideal for those spending the day by the pool with young children — whether they need shade for a nap or want to enjoy the water together.
We have always tried to respect the peace and privacy of our guests. Families can coexist (Convivio!) with those who come to Brione seeking rest. Guests traveling without children know that all services are designed to protect quiet hours.

Our friends still come. They’ve become grandparents, and their grandchildren make some of these poolside moments even more special.
And that reassures us — a lot ?.
