It’s easy to understand where Carlo’s passion, day by day , came from; He was born in this Hotel……In an old newspaper, founded by chance tiding up the Hotel’s wardrobe,a jung Carlo’s photos “helps” the journalist to figure out the Riva del Garda area where it was taken: Viale Rovereto at the time Riva’s suburbs and unpaved countryside area. But ,what is Carlo doing with a bucket and his feet between stones and send? Easy! Ever since he was 2 years old he didn’t want to miss anything that happened in “his ” Hotel. Yes, because the land that Carlo is sleeping on in this photo is the one where Brione grew up, in 1953
Four years earlier, his mother Fernanda with the husband Ferruccio started this profession taking over the Pensione Brione (around 100 mt further then where it is now) and then introducing her own business in 1953 building the Hotel. That Hotel that nowadays we are lucky to see, large , with gardens,swimmingpool and parking area, in 1953 was an only two floors building. How many things have changed since then, and no one can even imagine all of the stories that Carlo still have to tell us. Now the bucket is become a large bag full of tools for fix taps or replacement bulbs ….
