When we talk about family work, we often disagree. Carlo was practically born in a hotel and knows no distinction between home and work. In the parking lot there is his vegetable garden, at the reception you cannot touch the paintings to which he is very attached that the world falls. And near the (since this year former) bicycle garage is his “shelter” for plants.
The hotel is Casa and we are proud that it is.
However…
But that grandmother’s copper vase that an old customer from Germany had brought it that perhaps is also worth a lot because it is handmade and today there are no more … even no. Come on!
In short, ok recycling in a green spirit, it’s okay to be thrifty, but something can also be thrown away!
Well, luckily for us, most of the discussions on the Hotel focus on this. Certainly not on the highest systems, here.
Andrea is the one who, as they say, points the pencils. When he gets so angry we all look at him as if he’s gone mad. So patient and good that he then loses his head over a discolored vase.
But the philosophy is right. The Hotel is a home but also a company.
We are convinced that we can also be recognized through the order we keep in the parking lot or the plants we choose for the flower beds.
Let me give you a few examples because otherwise we never get to the point.
– We built a small ecological area at the end of the parking lot, separating the ugly garbage cans that didn’t have a place behind some plants- For all the plants on the ground floor of the hotel, we bought pot covers all the same of the same color (dove gray)
– The canopy covering the bicycles available for our guests has been cleaned up. Via those vases that “let’s put them there until we find a place for them”, away with that electrical panel that was no longer needed for years but “removing it is a shame”.
– The new bicycle garage retires the cellar that we had re-adapted into the garden where Carlo keeps his tools and the thousand plants “to be saved”.
Now we hope to be able to offer a real equipped bike room.
The difficulty will come now. We will have to check that Carlo secretly does not take that old grandmother’s vase back into the corridor …?
