We like to call it “green lung”, our garden where there is a swimming pool. It gives the idea because it is closed on 3 sides by our structure, therefore in the middle, and representative of our idea of a holiday in motion and in the open air.
A hotel called Brione, like the nearby mountain, and Green Resort, whose name recalls the idea of refuge in the midst of nature, must necessarily be as green as possible.
Here, however, we already find the first wall to avoid.
This high-sounding name, the son of the renewal of the look that in 2019 we thought was necessary to identify us better, often confuses.
We are in an urban area, beautiful but still populated and busy, and with the utmost honesty we struggle to define ourselves as a GREEN hotel.
- we are careful to offer only fresh and possibly local food, but by “green cuisine” we mean something else
- we make use of natural light as much as possible, we try to use low-energy machinery and our air conditioning switches off if the windows are left open. But even here, we certainly cannot define ourselves as an “eco hotel”
- we encourage movement on foot or by bicycle as much as we can, but we do it “in words”, perhaps offering some sporadic discounts. Whoever carries out real awareness campaigns, investing money in it, is to be admired. We certainly do not change the world.
Then there is the garden. Indeed, the gardens. The one facing the street, we are among the few hotels on the avenue to have one, the one that surrounds the structure on the north-west side, and the spit of land that Carlo cultivates near the parking lot. But also and above all the “green lung”, the internal one overlooked by the most popular rooms.
Here, let’s get to the point.
The definition of “beautiful” is subjective. Surely we are lucky to have a space large enough to be able to give intimacy to so many guests without necessarily having to lie down next to each other.
The variety of flowers and plants in the garden is remarkable, more than 50 different species, and the pool is large enough to accommodate both a swimming lover and those who enter the water just to cool off.
However, we believe it is time to raise the level of comfort a little. It is no longer enough for our green lung to be just “beautiful”, mentioned in almost all of our positive reviews. We need to find a way to equip it in a little more sophisticated way.
We have confused ideas about it. But at least we’re thinking about it.
