The leitmotive is (almost) always the same: working in hospitality makes us better.
A bit like traveling enriches oneself, we who host also absorb something every day. Whether it’s a detail of the country of origin of those who came to visit us or the route they decided to take.
But above all, many, many, snapshots of everyday life. New acquaintances, family stories, even more intimate confidences.
There is a fairly recurrent habit, for example, which hides a colorful world of emotions: asking us to be able to occupy the same room “from the previous year”.
Maybe most of the time it’s pure convenience. Or personal taste. I was fine there, why leave the certain for the uncertain?
(typical of those who are habitual like us ?)
Sometimes, however, something much more profound may be hidden behind this request.
We do not know, explicitly no one has ever told us, but we guess that maybe something special may have happened in that room. Maybe even totally unexpected.
Like the two guys who wrote to us a few days ago, telling us with an open heart what Nature had given them during their stay in August.
Something that Nature herself had made them wait so long for.
The passion of the message moved us a lot. It seems respectful to us not to tell details, but to be involved in this magical moment we assure you that it was STRONG.
Quite honestly, we didn’t have any particular relationships with these two guests during their stay, so their thoughts on us are worth even more.
Will they come back to us and maybe they will be among those who will ask us, first, to have “the same room as last year”?
Maybe not. It may be that life leads us to never meet again.
But the gratification we receive in return after these experiences is something that, alone, counts as a very strong motivation to jump into work with even more passion.
